| My painting is inspired by the articles I read about the urgent issue of climate change and its impact on the world, especially in America. I used bubbles to overlay the articles that show the alarming effects of global warming and the natural disasters it causes. From a distance, the bubbles look like a map of the U.S. slowly dissolving into water. The bubbles also symbolize my hopes and dreams for a greener planet and my worries and fears for the future. I added an image from a search on my iPad showing another map of the U.S. with extreme weather patterns, indicating that climate change has already started and we must act fast. |
