| I painted the model's hands holding a cup of expresso over the articles about the War in Ukraine from 2022 to 2023. I included stories of allied countries with Ukraine and how Putin annexed Crimea in 2014, showing chronologically what had happened. It is a personal expression of my feelings and experiences related to the war in Ukraine. The newspaper articles represent my opinions on various aspects of the war, such as its causes, significance, allies, and enemies. Holding an expresso cup, rather than a regular coffee cup, suggests I feel strongly about what I see. |
